HFA Wizard Version 1.2

The professional version 1.2 of the HFA Facial Wizard is now available.

To update from a previous version please remove the previous Wizard before installing the new one.

Version 1.2 adds two new features to the Wizard

  • the ability to apply a Question Mark to the chosen facial feature
  • a Report that can be used with any word processor that can read Open Document Format files (.odt files).

Reports

Reports are only available when an analysis is completed and saved. You can access the Report from the wizard by using File->Report. Or directly from the directory in which you saved the analysis.

The wizard automatically creates a new report each time you change and save an analysis. This allows you to keep a trail of changes as a history. Each update to the analysis will save a file with the same name but different ending i.e. "analysis.hfa" is the analysis "analysis.odt" is the report. New versions will be numbered  "analysis0.odt" then "analysis1.odt" etc.  The user can modify the report manually if they wish and save as a new version.

The report is in Open Document Format. Many modern word processing programs should open it. Microsoft word is one of several that could be used. The wizard relies on the operating system default program to open the report, sometimes the link between the type of document and the program required to use it are not set and in this case you can open the file directly from the word processor. More information on the Open Document format.

Questionmark Features

This feature is for when you are unsure whether to include the feature or not and want to remember this potential when checking the final analysis.  The final analysis will add the point/points selected (both final choice or question mark) - the report will highlight the question mark in a separate column.  To use the question-mark feature during the analysis right mouse button over a selected image in the top set, you will see a question menu item. The question only appears if the feature has a color score. You can toggle the question on and of. When a question is set the background will turn green and the navigation marker on the bottom will also turn green to remind you a question mark exists. If you select a different facial feature on an item with a Questionmark the question is removed.

Setting the questionmark Ready for Selection

Questionmark selectedGreen color indicates the feature is questionable.

In the Report question marked features will appear in italics to make it easier to identify them.
